Russian, Spanish, LGBTQ, Alanon, YPAAA, Women, Men, Step and Gratitude Meetings

Theme 2018: Rocketed into the Fourth Dimension – We Have Entered The World of The Spirit

Brooklyn County Share A Day is one of 2 service events put on by Brooklyn County General Service. It  is a one day free service event  consisting of AA solution focused workshops, panels and meetings on various topics open to AA members, their families and the public. In addition to many meetings, there will be Brooklyn County Informational Tables, a Keynote speaker and Sobriety Countdown. We hope that several meetings each will be conducted in Spanish, Polish & Russian throughout the day and that translation for the big meeting will be available in languages requested. Breakfast and lunch will be served and coffee and tea will be available for the duration. We also invite our friends from Al-Anon/ Alateen, SENY, New York and Brooklyn Intergroup to participate.

This event is currently in its planning stages and could use the help of any AA who can donate his or her service and time. An intent of the event is to represent all areas of the borough so all are invited and encouraged to participate.

Any questions please contact >>>mailto:shareaday@brooklynaa.org <<<.
We are also available to come to your group’s business meeting to talk about Share A Day.

There are service positions available (time sensitive and not) which include: program, outreach, hospitality, food, set-up, clean-up, translating flyers, translation, greeters, special needs, etc…

Come join us this Sunday for “An Easier, Softer Way”, our new Agnostic & Secular Silent Meditation Meeting of Alcoholics Anonymous in Bushwick.

Format:
10-minute free-form/unguided silent meditation
(i.e., no “suggestions” on how to meditate are given in advance)
Round-robin shares around the room
No opening or closing group prayers during the meeting

This group of A.A. will attempt to maintain a tradition of free expression, and conduct a meeting where alcoholics may feel free to express any doubts or disbeliefs they may have, and to share their own personal form of spiritual experience, their search for it, or their rejection of it. We do not endorse or oppose any form of religion or atheism. Our only wish is to assure suffering alcoholics that they can find sobriety in A.A. without having to accept anyone else’s beliefs or having to deny their own.

This meeting is “closed”, meaning only A.A. members and anyone who has a desire to stop drinking may attend.

Alcoholics all faiths, beliefs, or non-beliefs, are welcome here!
