Come join us this Sunday for “An Easier, Softer Way”, our new Agnostic & Secular Silent Meditation Meeting of Alcoholics Anonymous in Bushwick.

Format:
10-minute free-form/unguided silent meditation
(i.e., no “suggestions” on how to meditate are given in advance)
Round-robin shares around the room
No opening or closing group prayers during the meeting

This group of A.A. will attempt to maintain a tradition of free expression, and conduct a meeting where alcoholics may feel free to express any doubts or disbeliefs they may have, and to share their own personal form of spiritual experience, their search for it, or their rejection of it. We do not endorse or oppose any form of religion or atheism. Our only wish is to assure suffering alcoholics that they can find sobriety in A.A. without having to accept anyone else’s beliefs or having to deny their own.

WHMC is a Wheelchair Accessible facility.

This meeting is “closed”, meaning only A.A. members and anyone who has a desire to stop drinking may attend.

Alcoholics all faiths, beliefs, or non-beliefs, are welcome here!

DELEGATE’S DAY OF SHARING (3/3/18) @ PS.41 - Greenwich Village Elementary School
Mar 3 @ 8:30 am – 3:15 pm

DELEGATE’S DAY OF SHARING (3/3/18)

What is this?  In a few words: one of the most important service events in A.A. It’s a fascinating day devoted entirely to the Delegate’s Questionnaire. Presentations will be made on each question, providing the background on why the question is on General Service Conference’s agenda in April.

Who should attend?  GSRs.  GSRs.  GSRs.  Alternate GSRs.  DCMCs and DCMs and their alternates. All A.A. members in service positions in SENY.  Any A.A. member is also welcome to attend.

Why is it so important for a GSR to attend?  Your group has a voice in A.A. and you are essential to that voice being heard.  As the GSR, you are asked to bring the Delegate’s Questionnaire to your group, facilitate a discussion, and deliver your group’s conscience to our Delegate, John W., before he goes to the General Service Conference.  Your group depends on you to know what’s behind these questions. The Delegate’s Day of Sharing on March 3rd will help prepare you for exactly that.
DATE: Saturday, March 3, 2018

TIME: Registration, Coffee & Bagels: 8:30am – 9:30am.  Program: 9:30am – 3:15PM
LOCATION:  PS.41 – Greenwich Village Elementary School, (116 W. 11th Street, Manhattan)

TRANSIT SERVICE ADVISORIES:  Saturdays frequently have service changes.  If coming by subway or bus, please check with MTA (call or check online) for any advisories on the day of the event.
TRANSIT ACCESSIBILITY: The subway stations along 14th Street have elevators, but check with MTA for service advisories on the day of the event.

THE DELEGATE’S QUESTIONNAIRE

Our Delegate, John W., has selected 8 Questions from the General Service Conference’s full agenda.  These items are ones he most wants our Area’s conscience on.
DELEGATE’S QUESTIONNAIRE
CUESTIONARIO DEL DELEGARDO

In the spirit of transparency and openness, and for the first time, the Delegate has made available the complete background information for the General Service Conference agenda, a 650 page document.
