Brooklyn Intergroup sponsored a Promises Workshop held at the Prospect Group meeting place in Park Slope on Saturday, February 22, 2014. The workshop used as a template a page downloaded from a recovery-based website . There are promises that materialize throughout the recovery process, and they are not limited to the ones that are listed at the completion of Step 9.
A panel of 3 speakers – Nellie P. (Army Plaza), Don D., Jr. (Bay Ridge), and Lavern from Weeksville – took turns sharing their experience, strength and hope on the various promises that accrue from having completed Step 1, Step 3, Step 5 and so forth. A hot lunch was served and the event concluded with a question-and-answer session. The fellowship was lively, with both long-timers and newcomers still counting days in attendance.
Attached please find the Delegate’s Questionnaire for the 64th General Service Conference for your review and discussion with your groups. If you cannot attend the Delegate’s Day of Sharing on March 15th, please try to get someone from your group to attend in your place. There will be additional explanations offered to give you a better understanding of where these questions and suggestions originated in order to make the 2014 General Service conference agenda.
This questionnaire will be posted on the SENY web site soon and you should also look for a copy in the next SENY mailing. I am looking forward to seeing many of you on March 15, 2014 at the Archdiocesan Church of the Holy Trinity, 337 East 74th Street, New York, NY 10021, at 9:00 am for a warm breakfast and fellowship before the day starts.
In Love of Service,
SENY Delegate, Panel 63
